God's Choice: Through the Red Sea

I was reading in Exodus about the Israelites being led out of slavery in Egypt. Can you believe that there was a shorter, simpler, dry route? But God sent them through the Red Sea so that they, and the Egyptians, and the whole world would know that God is God! Amazing! Ridiculous but amazing! It proves that our God is a missionary God who is jealous for all the glory that is due Him. It also proves yet again His soveriegnty and wisdom and genius that the Red Sea route is better for His people in the end. He knows best! Amen!
