I just finished "The Divine Romance" by Gene Edwards. The book is a well-written narrative perspective on the 'story of God' from the perspective of angels. The theme of the Church as the Bride of Christ is the main idea of this work. Edwards' genius in all of his works is to weave in the reader ("You!") right in the middle of the story - demanding a response. He does so again in this excellent work. (When reading narrative, I have to keep reminding myself that it isn't theology but story pointing to God/truth.)
